At Modutti we have different kinds of delivery methods depending on what type of product you have purchased.
1. Items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer.
2. Smaller standard items that are delivered via Parcelforce/Royal Mail or Hermes/DPD.
3. Larger items which are not shipped directly from the supplier, we partner with Kinetic logistics* in the UK and can offer a 2 man service where requested.
4. International delivery we can provide individual quotes for agreement prior to order (please see our T&Cs)
Standard delivery small accessories - £4.95
Small/medium furniture items i.e. side tables - £25
Large furniture items i.e. console tables - £50
Supersize items i.e. sofas & beds - £75
ITEMS THAT ARE SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER:
Some of our suppliers send their products directly after manufacture, which means we can offer a wider choice as well as cut down on any potential transit issues. We will advise on any items coming direct and keep you posted where we can with relevant tracking info.
We use a combination of Parcelforce and royal mail for smaller items and will supply notifications directly to you once the item is on the way.
Kinetic Logistics* is a courier specialising in UK deliveries shipping furniture, electricals and other fragile goods, making them our perfect partner (and they are also an awesome bunch of people, which means we trust them 100% to look after you and your product).
All larger deliveries going via Kinetic are booked in by text message and email (2-3 days prior to delivery) providing you with an agreed three hour time slot. The driver will also then give you a courtesy call up to 30 minutes prior to delivery.
Items will then be delivered into a downstairs ‘room of choice’. If you require products to be delivered to an upstairs room this will be a 2man delivery method and may incur an additional cost.
MULTIPLE ITEM DELIVERIES:
Please note if an order contains different items from different suppliers it is possible these will not be delivered at the same time and you will be advised of each delivery date in advance.
FAILED DELIVERIES & RE-DELIVERY:
Failed deliveries unfortunately come at a cost if you are not home or there are access issues (we are sad too, but its unavoidable). If you need to make changes to your delivery please ensure you notify us by 12pm the working day prior to delivery, at the latest.
Also on rare occasions deliveries may fail from the courier at the last minute for unforeseen reasons. For that reason it is critical you do not dispose of your old bed, mattress, table or sofa etc until your new one has been delivered.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT NOTE: If a delivery also fails due to the product not fitting into the property then there will be a charge for the price of the original delivery as standard, and then the re-delivery if required following that will also be chargeable (please see our full T&Cs for information). It is critically important that prior to purchase you measure all access points into and through your building to ensure that an item can fit between doorways, round awkward corners etc (refer to our measuring advice and if you are still not sure please contact us for further advice prior to purchase as nothing is more annoying than your new sofa arriving and having to saw it in half to fit through the door!). This also applies to narrow access lanes and roads to a property, if you think there will be any access issues please contact us ahead of purchase to discuss.
If your initial delivery was free delivery you will be subject to a flat rate failed delivery charge of £50 on any/all deliveries that fail.
TRACKING CODES & UPDATES:
Once your order has been passed to the courier, a tracking code will be generated and emailed to you with instructions on how to check it. If you have set up a Modutti customer account, you can also check the status of your order on the website. For larger furniture and bespoke items we will keep in regular communication to inform you of your order's update and delivery time.
Please note at Modutti we do not offer an express delivery service. If you have an urgent request please speak to us prior to placing your order to see what options and pricing are available at that time.
Please note on receipt of delivery it is extremely important that you check the products for any sign of damage or fault and report this within 24 hrs to us.
